The Anointing Brings Power and Peace

Every day, we can draw upon the supernatural resources of the indwelling Christ.  Our lives are testimonies to His faithfulness when we use these resources to enable us to be victorious over temptation and to live the supernatural life.

God’s supernatural power is the Anointing.  It is burden-removing, yoke-destroying power.  It is how Jesus was able to do the things that He saw His Father do and say the things that His Father said.  We can receive the Anointing if we are humble to God because God is gracious.  As Saint James has said, “…the Lord is full of compassion and mercy” James 5:11 (WEB).  He gives humble people the Grace to receive the Anointing.  But even though God has opened the path for us to have His Anointing, we cannot receive it unless we have Faith in His Grace.  “Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1 (WEB).  We are assured by Faith that God is and that He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

I think it looks like this:

Person --> Person is Humble before God --> God gives Grace to person to receive Anointing --> Person receives Anointing by Faith --> Person begins to overcome his or her flesh, the world, and the devil with the Anointing --> Person abides in Christ --> Anointing continues -->

The end result is sure, and Saint John sums it up.  “These things I have written to you concerning those who would lead you astray.  As for you, the anointing which you received from Him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you.  But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in Him” I John 2:26-27 (WEB).

When we stay connected to the Vine, we are abiding in Christ. We are humble toward God, He gives us Grace, we receive the Anointing by Faith, we have the power to endure, and we are blessed.
